About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our FX team at Stripe. As part of our team, you will be responsible for designing and building APIs and services to enhance the foreign exchange experience for our merchants. If you are passionate about creating seamless and intuitive solutions for global transactions, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical projects to support product evolution and scalability
  • Design, develop, and maintain APIs and services
  • Collaborate with partners to introduce new features and functionalities
  • Align technical decisions with Stripe's strategic goals
  • Work with cross-functional teams to leverage existing infrastructure
  • Create and execute short- and long-term roadmaps

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience in coding and infrastructure
  • Expertise in API development
  • Focus on business impact and collaboration
  • Passion for mentorship and team growth
  • Preference for simplicity in design
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
  • Experience in financial products and markets is a plus

Work Environment

This is a hybrid work opportunity at Stripe, where employees spend at least 50% of their time in the office or with users. This provides a balance between in-person collaboration and individual flexibility.

Compensation and Benefits
