We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Theatre Practitioner to join our team at Bupa. As a Cardiac Scrub Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety in our busy and dynamic theatre environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate perioperative patient care to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
- Participate in the delegation and supervision of junior grades, non-registered, and less experienced staff to promote a cohesive team and achieve team objectives.
- Create and maintain accurate and legible records of care in accordance with Bupa and Cromwell Hospital's local policies and procedures.
- Assist in the positioning and preparation of patients for clinical and operative procedures, ensuring that any specimens are correctly labelled and dispatched to the laboratory.
- Help to control cross-infection by observing departmental policy regarding dress, maintenance of a clean working environment, decontamination, and sterilization procedures, and asepsis.
- Prepare patients for clinical and operative procedures, both in anaesthetics and surgery.
- RN - 1st level Registration Adult and/or Children / Diploma or Degree in Health Care Studies / ODP Level 3 NVQ / ODA 752.
- Cardiac scrub nurse experience.
- Proven recent perioperative experience.
- Ability to deliver high standards of care.
