Position Overview

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Overseeing the maintenance and repair of a diverse array of control valves and actuators, including positioners, boosters, solenoids, switches, and regulators.
  • Managing the upkeep and repair of various isolation valves, such as gate valves, parallel slide valves, and ball valves as necessary.
  • Utilizing diagnostic tools and conducting pressure tests.
  • Setting up and calibrating related instruments.
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety protocols, including conducting safety checks on tools and equipment.
  • Documenting valve overhaul and testing details in the Valve Management System.
  • Promoting the Core Values in all work-related activities.

Candidate Profile

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Proven experience in a similar capacity, particularly with control valves (essential).
  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, ONC Engineering, or an equivalent qualification (essential).
  • OEM training (desirable).
  • Proficiency in using a variety of workshop equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • A valid UK driving license.

Additional Information

  • This position is primarily workshop-based.
  • Occasional site work may be required by agreement.
  • Driving of company or hired vehicles may be necessary by agreement.
