Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Hardware Test Development Engineer to join our team at Allstaff Recruitment Ltd. As a Hardware Test Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting test systems for power and magnetic products.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop test systems for power and magnetic products, with a focus on hardware test development and software-based testing.
  2. Organize and perform project work, including the design of in-house test equipment and ancillary departmental systems.
  3. Develop and maintain primary test platform software, and provide technical support to ensure smooth operation.
  4. Generate plans for new work and oversee technician work, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
  5. Provide technical support to colleagues and stakeholders, and maintain parametric data on test parameters.
  6. Facilitate repair and calibration of test systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 2-5 years' experience in a hardware and power/electronics environment, with a strong understanding of testing principles and practices.
  2. Educated to degree level in the Electronics field or equivalent experience as a Test Development Engineer.
  3. Familiarity with principles of testing of power components, including DC-DC Converters.
  4. Experience with NI TestStand and Test Fixture Design, as well as knowledge of C# or other.NET languages.
  5. Automation experience, particularly in Manufacturing/Test Environment, is highly desirable.
