Engineering Planner

Role Overview
The Engineering Planner/Maintenance Planning Specialist will play a crucial role in maximizing the performance of engineering operations at a leading international manufacturer. This permanent position offers a competitive salary, company pension contribution, share option scheme, and comprehensive employee benefits program.
Main Responsibilities
- Leadership and Coordination
- Lead the maintenance shutdown coordination process, establishing best practices and ensuring seamless execution.
- Chair weekly scheduling meetings to discuss planned activities and ensure alignment with the engineering team.
- Work Planning and Scheduling
- Control and populate the engineering shift plan for all engineering personnel, including contractors.
- Prioritize and manage a work backlog for all maintenance activities and engineering team tasks.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with the Engineering Maintenance Supervisor, Engineering Manager, and Operational Managers to provide a schedule of work for shift engineers.
- Liaise with production, services, and central functions to ensure routine maintenance is planned and executed efficiently.
- Asset Management and Documentation
- Ensure accurate records and documentation for all production and auxiliary plant, including insurance records.
- Coordinate and site contact for contractors to ensure safe and controlled activities are completed on-site.
Requirements
- CMMS and Maintenance Planning experience.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to plan resources and coordinate people effectively.
- Engineering Training/Qualifications (NVQ3, HNC).
- Demonstrable Mechanical and Electrical Engineering knowledge.
- Problem-solving tools and techniques to deliver efficiency.
- Strong computer skills.
- Good Communication techniques.
- Continuous Improvement Approach.
