Job Summary

A Senior Physiotherapist (General Rotation) plays a key role in the physiotherapy team, independently managing a clinical caseload with the support of senior colleagues. The successful candidate will participate in a rotational programme through various clinical specialties, designed to consolidate their rotational experience and further develop their independent clinical practice and supervisory skills.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be actively involved in the education, supervision, and mentoring of Band 5 Physiotherapists and physiotherapy undergraduate students. They will also participate in the respiratory on-call rota, as well as any weekend working and 7-day working practices as required.

Requirements
  • Broad range of postgraduate clinical experience to include MSK, T&O, Neuro, and Resp
  • Able to demonstrate appropriate level of clinical reasoning and knowledge across a range of clinical specialties
  • Participating and delivering IST programme
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • MCSP
  • Worked in the UK as a HCPC-registered PT
  • Evidence of working unsupervised
  • Participated in on-call and 7-day working
  • Previous Band 6 position
Skills and Knowledge
  • Ability to discuss CR process and recognise and react to adverse clinical signs
  • Awareness of relevant clinical guidelines
  • Effective team work and communication skills
  • Evidence of initiative and time management
  • Awareness and ability to understand clinical governance
  • Challenges facing the NHS
  • Evidence of CPD
  • Ability to demonstrate critical appraisal skills
Other Requirements
  • Available for on-call and weekend work
  • Ability to travel between sites in a timely manner
  • Ability to adapt to changes in work routine
