Job Title: Scrub Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scrub Nurse to join our team at Jupiter Recruitment. As a Scrub Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our theatre department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality scrub provision to support surgeons during theatre procedures.
  • Anticipate and resolve any potential problems that may arise during theatre sessions.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe theatre environment.
  • Manage clinical waste and ensure correct disposal procedures are implemented.
  • Undertake medicine management and audit duties, as well as maintaining accurate patient records.
Requirements:
  • Qualified as an RGN Nurse with an active NMC Pin.
  • Previous experience in a hospital eye service or private eye clinic environment.
  • Knowledge of clinical practice and current developments in Optometry.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume theatre setting.
  • Experience of supporting surgeons during theatre procedures, with problem-solving and issue resolution skills.
  • Training and coaching of others.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in using computer systems and programmes.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
