Cost/Senior Cost Controller (hybrid working)

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost/Senior Cost Controller to join our team. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely project information relating to performance against project baselines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain project cost control data structures to accurately track and control actual costs.
  • Establish and set project control budgets aligned with agreed baselines.
  • Track actual costs for internal and external expenditure against cost control structures.
  • Monitor and control project accruals and commitments against set budget constraints.
  • Build project forecasts to include estimated work to complete (ETC) and estimate at complete (EAC).
  • Accurately and timely report all project information, including Earned Value Management.
  • Track project contingency and exposure associated with risk events and remaining risks on the project.
  • Monitor project change control to ensure alignment with agreed baselines and control data structures.
  • Identify key project trends to inform future change controls.
Requirements:
  • Typically, a qualified graduate in a relevant discipline with five to ten years of experience in delivering project controls services for major projects or programmes.
  • Delivered cost engineering across a range of major projects, preferably across multiple sectors and internationally.
  • Experience working across the full project lifecycle, including pre-investment decision, design development, execution, and commissioning phases.
  • Ability to define project cost procedures and standards to which the project and/or programme will adhere.
  • Highly conversant with cost management systems such as Prism and Ecosys, including interface with corporate finance systems such as SAP and Oracle.
  • Appreciation of business rules and how project funding and performance aligns with business financial account requirements within the project or programme environment.
