About the Role

At Palmer & Howells, we're seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Food Service Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional food and service to our pupils and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our team to prepare and serve freshly prepared lunches, ensuring high-quality food and exceptional customer service.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, including Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies, to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Work efficiently to meet the demands of busy lunchtimes, ensuring that all requirements are met.
  • Support food service at events, such as meetings and sports events, and adapt to changing circumstances as needed.

Requirements:

  • A people-focused approach, with excellent communication and teamwork skills, to match our values.
  • Basic Health & Safety knowledge, with a Food Safety L2 certificate a plus.
  • An interest in food preparation and cooking, with a passion for delivering high-quality food and service.
  • The ability to work the required hours and commute easily to our location.
