About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Blackpool. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the teacher to provide individualized support to a child in KS1 with mild SEN needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support to a child in KS1 with mild SEN needs
  • Work closely with the teacher to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery
  • Support the child's social and emotional development
  • Communicate effectively with the teacher, parents, and other staff members
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Recent experience working with children, ideally in a primary school setting
  • Experience supporting children with SEN needs, even if limited
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances
