Estimator – Heritage

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at Hunter Mason Consulting Ltd. As an Estimator – Heritage, you will play a crucial role in managing accurate records of tender and contract documents, preparing detailed bills of quantities and work schedules for accurate pricing, and presenting tenders at settlement meetings with a comprehensive knowledge of the best approach to be taken.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage accurate records of tender and contract documents
  • Prepare detailed bills of quantities and work schedules for accurate pricing
  • Compile tender comparisons and consideration
  • Present tenders at settlement meetings with a comprehensive knowledge of the best approach to be taken
  • Offer advice on risk and value engineering options
  • Work closely with supply chains to ensure competitive tenders
  • Contribute to database tenders for historical data and average rates and supply chain databases
  • Develop relationships with consultants and clients
  • Maximise efficiency of services, utilising all resources in conjunction with the Project Managers, and identify problems, taking the relevant action to resolve them
Requirements:
  • Proven Estimating Experience
  • Experience in Historic, Listed Building, Graded Building, Building Restoration, Heritage, Conservation, Stonework, or Brickwork Projects
  • Exceptional written and spoken English skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Products
  • Self-motivated personality
  • Attention to detail with a right first-time attitude
  • Organisation and time management skills
  • Full Driving License
