About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Secondary Maths Teacher to join our team at The Holden School in Leigh. As a key member of our academic staff, you will play a vital role in providing a high-quality education service to our students.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and teach mathematics lessons to students in accordance with the school's curriculum framework and related policies.
  • Monitor, record, and report on student progress, providing regular feedback and guidance to support their learning.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's curriculum, ensuring that it meets the needs of all students.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Develop and implement individual education plans, individual behaviour plans, and other relevant individual plans in conjunction with other staff.
  • Organise the classroom, its resources, student groupings, and displays to provide a stimulating learning situation.
  • Ensure the safety of students, in line with risk assessments, while on and off site.
  • Work with Learning Support Assistants/Tutors/Instructors and care staff to ensure they are well briefed and able to produce appropriate and effective resources/teaching aids.

  • Teacher Registration Number (TRN)

The Holden School is an independent specialist day school for boys and girls aged 4-16, catering for pupils with a wide range of needs in Lancashire, Manchester, and surrounding areas. We are a Therapeutic Led, Trauma Informed School providing individualised curriculums for our young people supported by our Class Teams, Pastoral Team, and our own Therapists.
