Job Overview

EXCITING CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY FOR A PROJECT MANAGER

  • Searchability NS&D is seeking a Project Manager to oversee a diverse array of projects.
  • This role offers a hybrid working arrangement.
  • Active SC Clearance is a requirement for this position.
  • Competitive rate of £36 per hour, inside IR35.
  • Contract duration is anticipated to be 6 months, with potential for extension.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PROJECT MANAGER:

  • Manage project delivery and contract oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate a shared understanding of project requirements, scope, timelines, costs, risks, and team interfaces.
  • Lead and inspire the project team, fostering motivation, development, and collaboration.
  • Implement governance frameworks for projects, ensuring adherence to corporate policies and procedures for successful outcomes.
  • Prioritize safety in all project delivery aspects.
  • Oversee project management within agreed financial parameters set by clients and stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage risks and opportunities from project inception to completion.
  • Administer and negotiate change control processes effectively.
  • Manage the procurement processes for approved subcontractors.
  • Ensure accurate monitoring and reporting of project performance against established benchmarks, including technical quality and financial targets.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Background in Project Management or Engineering, with experience in design management and contract administration within the Nuclear sector.
  • Proven track record in accountable Project Manager roles on multidisciplinary design projects with significant financial scopes.
  • APM PMQ or equivalent certification in Project Management is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of various construction contracts, particularly NEC 4.
  • Familiarity with Nuclear Standards and regulations.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Understanding of Building Information Modeling (BIM) principles.
