About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Planner to join our dynamic team in Fleet. As a key member of our Transport Planning team, you will play a crucial role in delivering innovative and sustainable solutions for a wide range of infrastructure projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare comprehensive Transport Assessments and Transport Statements, ensuring compliance with UK Transport Planning standards and processes.
  • Develop and coordinate Travel Plans, utilizing your expertise in ARCADY, PICADY, and LINSIG.
  • Present technical data and drawings to clients, contractors, and local/national authorities, effectively communicating complex information.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and authorities to ensure timely and budget-friendly project delivery.
  • Lead junior team members in delivering high-quality work, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop comprehensive advice for clients on Highways & Transport matters, from preliminary advice to feasibility work.
  • Conduct site appraisals, design surveys, and provide input to written reports and presentational material.
  • Ensure all project files are up-to-date and accurate, maintaining a high level of organization.

Requirements
  • Degree in Transport Planning, Geography, or Civil Engineering
  • 4+ years of experience in UK Transport Planning standards and processes
  • Essential Member of Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (MCIHT)
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office software packages
  • Good levels of numeracy, including a good understanding of spreadsheets
  • Use of AutoCAD (desirable)
  • Working experience/understanding of ARCADY, PICADY, and LINSIG
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to clearly communicate findings from complex data
  • Ability to work easily and accurately with numbers
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Good commercial understanding

  • Self-motivated and ability to manage own workload
  • Approachable and professional manner when dealing with colleagues and clients
