Position Overview:
Workshop Recruitment is in search of a Maintenance Systems Engineer to become a vital part of our team. Role Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Systems Engineer will be responsible for managing the upkeep of mechanical and electrical systems at our operational facilities.

This position reports directly to the Facilities Maintenance Manager and plays a key role in ensuring the functionality and efficiency of our infrastructure, which encompasses production areas, storage facilities, and administrative offices.

Your focus will be on the maintenance and optimization of all mechanical and electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards while effectively overseeing maintenance agreements.


Key Responsibilities Include:


1. Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy for all electrical and mechanical systems, emphasizing preventive maintenance and lifecycle management.

2. Conduct thorough and regular evaluations of all systems, documenting findings and actions to ensure optimal performance.
3. Enhance building management systems (BMS), environmental management systems (EMS), and lighting management systems (LMS) to achieve maximum efficiency.
4. Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, and safety requirements throughout facility operations.
5. Maintain, diagnose, and repair all site electrical and mechanical equipment to minimize downtime and prolong equipment lifespan.

6. Collaborate on initiatives related to the refurbishment and enhancement of electrical and mechanical systems within facility and production environments, aiming to improve reliability and performance.

7. Perform quality checks on maintenance work executed by external contractors to uphold high standards.
8. Uphold rigorous safety protocols and ensure a prompt and effective response to any emergencies involving facility and production systems.
9. Provide ongoing technical guidance and support to improve the performance of all mechanical and electrical installations.
10. Assist Maintenance Engineers during production disruptions and project implementations.

Qualifications:
To excel in this position, candidates should possess:

- A proven history of maintaining electrical and mechanical systems in a manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
- A Level 3 NVQ or higher in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience in managing maintenance contracts and ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards.
- A comprehensive understanding of industry-specific safety protocols and proactive maintenance methodologies.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with proficiency in IT tools for maintenance management and reporting.
- The ability to handle high-pressure situations and adapt to evolving operational demands.
- A commitment to environmental sustainability and adherence to stringent health and safety regulations.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage multiple maintenance tasks concurrently.
- Experience in injection molding is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Strong skills in electrical troubleshooting and installation.
