Role Summary:

As a Mobile Application Engineer, you will play a crucial role within our engineering team, tasked with delivering exceptional applications and services. You will handle well-defined assignments independently, while also having the opportunity to seek guidance from senior team members for more intricate projects. This position requires a quick learning ability from experiences, adherence to and development of best practices, and the mentorship of junior engineers. You will also engage in the technical design process with support from senior engineers as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain mobile applications utilizing Kotlin.
  • Oversee CI configurations with Jenkins for commit validation and automated code quality assessments through SonarQube.
  • Implement Jetpack Compose, Clean Architecture, Widgets, Kotlin Multiplatform, and Android Architecture Components in application development.
  • Deliver software functionalities independently, while seeking assistance when required.
  • Participate in technical refinement and design discussions.
  • Contribute to code evaluations and collaborative programming sessions.
  • Write high-quality code in accordance with team standards and principles.
  • Provide project estimates and ensure timely software delivery.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Communicate progress effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical challenges.
  • Engage in Agile ceremonies and address retrospective actions.
  • Proactively manage technical debt.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards such as ISO27001 and PCI Compliance.
  • Guide and mentor junior team members.
  • Occasionally present at team meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Support the implementation and upkeep of the ISO27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS).
  • Comply with all relevant ISMS policies, procedures, and requirements.
  • Complete ISMS-related tasks as necessary.

Required Skills & Attributes:

  • Proficient in mobile application development.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of multi-threaded programming.
  • Ability to create adaptive user interfaces for mobile devices.
  • Self-driven with the capability to work autonomously.
  • Commitment to development standards and best practices.
  • Strong prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to positively influence and lead team members.
  • Understanding of software engineering principles (e.g., Object-Oriented Programming, SOLID, TDD, YAGNI, KISS).
  • Dedication to continuous improvement and automation.
  • Active learner focused on professional and technical advancement.
  • Confident independent developer with a feedback-oriented mindset.
  • Resilient, composed, methodical, and capable of multitasking and prioritizing.
  • Familiarity with software development techniques and methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Proposes enhancements to existing engineering processes and codebases.
  • Demonstrable experience as a Software Engineer or in a comparable role.
  • Experience with agile management tools like Redmine and Jira.
