About the Role

Scotland's Rural College (SRUC) is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Residential Support Officer to join our team. As a key member of our residential community, you will be responsible for providing a safe and supportive environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 24/7 support to students in our residential accommodation, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and external partners to ensure a harmonious living environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address any safeguarding concerns, ensuring the well-being and safety of our students.
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents, providing first aid and support as needed.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to promote a positive and inclusive living environment.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in a residential or safeguarding role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • First aid training and experience.
