Lead Theatre Nurse - Anaesthesia Specialist
Location: London Bridge Hospital
Specialties: Orthopaedics, Spinal Surgery, General Surgery, ENT
Full-time: 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Early and Late (Early 7:00-15:00, Late 13:00-21:00) 5 Days a week. Occasional Rostered Saturdays
On Call: 2 weekdays each month & one weekend every 6-8 weeks.

We are seeking a Lead Theatre Nurse to join our esteemed Theatre team at London Bridge Hospital, recognized for its outstanding service.
Our theatres provide a dynamic, engaging, and professional atmosphere equipped with cutting-edge technology and equipment.
The London Bridge Hospital Campus features 10 Operating Theatres, offering a diverse range of specialties including Cardiac, Orthopaedics, Liver, Neurosurgery, Urology, Spinal, and General Surgery. Successful candidates will join a large team of skilled professionals, with ample opportunities for career advancement and personal development.
As a Lead Theatre Nurse, you will deliver specialized care to patients in the Orthopaedics, Spinal, General, and ENT departments during the perioperative phase. You will assist in the daily management of the theatres, mentor junior staff, and ensure a seamless service for our patients and consultants in a spacious, well-equipped environment.
What you will bring:
- Qualified Operating Department Practitioner/Registered Nurse
- Postgraduate experience in UK theatres
- Experience in Anaesthesia
- Completion of an Anaesthesia course
- Commitment to patient and colleague safety
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with Consultants and other healthcare professionals, ensuring prescribed treatments are executed.
- Active participation as a team member, working across all areas of the theatre suite, sharing knowledge, and supporting colleagues to achieve team objectives.
