Senior Highways Project Officer

Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking a Senior Highways Project Officer to become a vital member of the Highways Contract Management Team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in supervising the Highways Capital Programme along with various significant initiatives. This role encompasses a wide array of responsibilities, including:
- Conducting site evaluations
- Documenting findings in site diaries
- Engaging with elected officials and community members
- Ensuring quality assurance of completed projects
- Identifying and addressing any defective work
- Monitoring the progress of ongoing work
- Issuing preliminary warnings
- Managing project costs
This position requires collaboration with Via EM Ltd., the council's designated highways contractor. While prior experience in highways management is advantageous, candidates with relevant competencies will also be taken into account. A hybrid working model may be available for this position.
