We are seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play an essential part in enhancing the customer experience, acting as a key point of contact for visitors to our facility.

Your responsibilities will include delivering outstanding customer service, ensuring precise picking and packing of orders, and actively promoting Health & Safety standards. The Warehouse Operative position emphasizes the importance of fostering strong relationships with both trade and retail clients.

About You

If you are a diligent worker, a collaborative team member, and thrive in a fast-paced setting, we encourage you to consider this opportunity. A valid forklift truck license is a prerequisite for this role.

Working Hours - Monday to Friday with alternate Saturdays, totaling 44.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure precise picking, quality assurance, and efficient loading of products.
  • Maintain inventory levels, rotate stock, and uphold yard cleanliness.
  • Deliver exceptional service to customers and suppliers alike.
  • Oversee deliveries, manage documentation, and comply with safety regulations.
  • Keep the yard organized, tidy, and free from hazards.
  • Operate mechanical equipment safely and adhere to company policies.

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a builders' merchants environment.
  • Current Forklift License with up-to-date certification.
  • A positive demeanor, industry insight, and professionalism.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Attention to detail, numerical skills, and effective time management.
