Electrical Test and Inspection Engineer Role

At phs Group, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Test and Inspection Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Test and Inspection Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of electrical installations across various sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing of electrical installations, including emergency lighting, fire alarm systems, and mains analysis.
  • Complete and submit accurate reports and certifications using our cloud-based software.
  • Ensure timely completion of reports and certifications.
  • Perform LED lighting replacements, both during and outside of regular working hours, in accordance with project schedules.

  • A competitive salary range of £39,000 - £40,950, with average earnings of circa £56,500 (including bonus, on-call, overtime/weekends, and paid travel time).
  • Realistic earning potential, excluding overtime on weekends, of circa £46,207.

Requirements:

  • The ability to work 40 hours per week, including evening and twilight shifts, to support customer requirements.
  • Flexibility to travel to sites across the ROI and the ability to stop over when required.
  • A full UK driving license with 6 points or less.
  • SVQ level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 part 1 & 2 qualification, or equivalent Level 3 NQV.
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification.
  • City & Guilds 2391/2394 & 2395.
  • AM2 or equivalent.
  • IPAF 3a & 3b license.
  • A good level of IT literacy.
  • Experience working in an electrical testing environment.
  • Experience with electrical installation/project work, specifically commercial lighting replacements.
  • An understanding of UK Health and Safety Regulations within the workplace.
  • The ability to meet the requirements of an enhanced DBS check.
