Position Overview:

talentED is collaborating with a Primary School seeking a full-time 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering personalized support to our SEN students throughout the school, enabling them to excel academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support and assistance to SEN students with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and challenging behaviours, both within and outside the classroom.
  • Implement tailored learning plans and interventions aimed at addressing the unique needs of each student, fostering their academic advancement and personal growth.
  • Assist students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and coping mechanisms to navigate the school environment and engage positively with peers and staff.
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and external support professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to meeting the diverse needs of SEN students.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere where all students feel valued, encouraged, and empowered to achieve success.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, and behavioural challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for addressing the diverse needs of SEN students, including those with complex behavioural issues.
  • Flexibility and resilience to manage challenging situations and provide effective support in a dynamic educational setting.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to make a significant impact in the lives of vulnerable children.
