About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Home First Therapy team in Buckinghamshire. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting patients who have recently been discharged from hospital to regain their independence and remain in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform assessments and treatment for patients with complex needs, and provide advice, guidance, and information to health and social care professionals, carers, and relatives.
  • Undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
  • Participate in continuing professional and service development, and contribute to organisational objectives.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Health Professions Council.
  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in the form of a detailed personal development portfolio.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Specific formal courses appropriate to post-specialty.
  • Experience of at least 18 months in a junior rotational Occupational Therapy post.
  • Previous experience in core Occupational Therapy specialties.
  • Attendance at postgraduate courses in related fields and demonstrates reflective learning.
Skills and Abilities
  • Able to apply a range and depth of knowledge to the specialist clinical area of post.
  • Able to make sound clinical decisions based on knowledge/experience and utilize advanced clinical reasoning skills.
  • Able to carry out a range of assessments and procedures in order to make clinical assessments and diagnosis.
