About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Biomedical Scientist to join our team in the Biochemistry department at NHS Scotland. As a Senior Biomedical Scientist, you will play a key role in providing expert advice and guidance to junior staff members, as well as contributing to the development of new procedures and protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide training and direct supervision to junior staff members, including IBMS state registration and specialist portfolios.
  • Contribute to the development of new procedures and protocols, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of services and effective communication.
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • HCPC registration as a biomedical scientist.
  • Evidence of ongoing continuing professional development.
  • Specialist portfolio in Biochemistry.
  • Possession of a relevant Master of Science degree or equivalent in Biochemistry.
