Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join our dynamic team at Bertram Fairbanks. As a key member of our Commercial Litigation department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality legal advice and services to our clients, while contributing to the growth and development of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing professional advice and guidance on commercial litigation matters.
  2. Case Management: Ensure that all work produced is of the highest standard, advising on and providing legal support in a wide range of commercial litigation matters, including drafting, reviewing, and compiling of bundles and court documents.
  3. Business Development: Participate in the growth and development of the department and the firm, attending networking events, writing blogs and newsletters, and assisting with departmental and firm marketing.
  4. Team Management: Supervise trainee solicitors and paralegals, providing training and guidance to ensure their development and success.
Requirements
  1. Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5-7 years PQE.
  2. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  3. A positive 'can do' attitude, with a strong commercial awareness and excellent organisation skills.
  4. Competent IT knowledge and great attention to detail.
  5. Ability to work autonomously and think on their feet, with a strong ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
