Overview:
In collaboration with educational institutions in our local areas, we are excited to introduce our National Teaching Assistant Programme, aimed at individuals aspiring to embark on a career as a Teaching Assistant.

Role Significance:
The position of a Teaching Assistant is crucial for the smooth operation of educational establishments. The most effective Teaching Assistants possess outstanding communication abilities and can swiftly establish positive connections with both students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
Depending on the specific role and institution, your duties will include:
- Collaborating with the class teacher to manage student behavior.
- Assisting with targeted interventions.
- Providing additional support to students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

You will also support the class teacher in documenting and reporting on student progress and behavior, ensuring that all children are achieving their potential in the classroom.

About the Programme:
In partnership with our client schools, we will offer the successful Trainee Teaching Assistant comprehensive training and paid practical experience.

Upon successful completion of the interview process and following necessary suitability, safeguarding, and identity checks, we will strive to secure you a paid position in a school to further enhance your skills.

Before commencing your placement, you will need to complete a training programme facilitated by Vision for Education and school leaders, equipping you with the essential skills required for the Teaching Assistant role.

Candidate Requirements:
To be eligible for the Trainee Teaching Assistant position, you should:
- Be capable of fostering positive relationships with children and young individuals.
- Exhibit a passion for enhancing the educational outcomes for children and young people.
- Demonstrate flexibility, proactivity, and teamwork.
- Recognize the critical importance of safeguarding children and young people.

During the interview, you should be prepared to articulate your motivation for pursuing a career in education and your understanding of the Teaching Assistant's role and its significance within the school community.

Additionally, you must be committed to completing the necessary training and engaging in ongoing professional development (CPD).
- Be prepared to cover the cost of an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service.
