About the Role:
As a Transport Administrator for Dorset Council, you will be responsible for managing transport schedules, maintaining accurate records, and acting as a key liaison between the transport department and stakeholders. Your role will involve administrative support, reporting, and optimising transport services, requiring strong organisational skills and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to calls and emails from various stakeholders, including parents, contractors, schools, and passenger assistants.
- Liaise with internal and external parties to ensure seamless communication.
- Utilise Microsoft Office, Teams, and internal software applications to perform data entry tasks and access new applications as required.
- Conduct route evaluations using mapping software to assess transport suitability.
- Handle initial complaints and escalate them to senior staff members as necessary.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need strong organisational skills, effective communication, and the ability to work well under pressure. You will also need to be proficient in Microsoft Office and Teams, as well as internal software applications.
