Job Overview

Contract Senior Technical Architect

We are seeking a Contract Senior Technical Architect to contribute to a Government-Based initiative for an initial period of 6 months, with potential for extension.

Compensation: £650-£700 per day

Duration: 6 months initially, with a possibility of extension

Work Arrangement: Hybrid model with 2 days on-site and 3 days remote

Active SC Clearance is a prerequisite for this position. If your SC clearance has expired, we encourage you to apply and discuss renewal options with us.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing comprehensive analysis of business needs and converting them into technical specifications.
  • Developing detailed system blueprints and diagrams to illustrate the architecture.
  • Selecting suitable technologies, platforms, and frameworks to ensure the system meets desired functionalities and scalability.
  • Collaborating with software development teams to guarantee effective implementation of the design.
  • Presenting technical proposals and solutions to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Facilitating discussions and negotiations to resolve conflicts or discrepancies among stakeholders' expectations.
  • Conducting rigorous testing and quality assurance processes to identify and rectify any issues or vulnerabilities.
  • Implementing best practices for system optimization, scalability, and fault tolerance.
  • Monitoring system performance metrics and taking corrective actions as necessary to maintain optimal performance.
  • Establishing technical standards and best practices for development and architecture.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert on technology trends, emerging tools, and industry best practices.

Qualifications for Technical Architect:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Technical Architect.
  • Hands-on experience in software development.
  • Understanding of strategic IT solutions.
  • Experience in project management and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
  • Proficiency in selected programming languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python, or other object-oriented languages).
  • Familiarity with various operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, UNIX) and databases (e.g., SQL).
  • Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
