We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative to join our team at Nexgen Group. As a Cleaning Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our static sites in Chelmsford.
Key Responsibilities- Dust, damp wipe or wash walls, skirting boards, handrails, ledges, window sills, radiators, lifts, doors and frames
- Sweeping floors with brushes or dust control mops
- Mopping floors with wet or damp mops
- Hovering of carpeted areas
- Emptying waste bins or similar receptacles, transporting waste material to designated collection points
- Mixing cleaning supplies in the correct quantities for safe use
- Replenishing consumable items e.g. soap, toilet rolls, paper towels (if contractual)
- Cleaning kitchens, toilets, urinals, hand basins and sinks
- Local to the area
- IT literate (use of tablet, smartphone apps)
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written (English)
- Previous experience in a cleaning environment is essential
