About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned Fire Risk Assessor to join our esteemed Fire Safety Team and contribute as a Senior Fire Safety Consultant.

The Senior Fire Safety Consultants are responsible for leading a dedicated team of Fire Safety Officers, executing our comprehensive fire risk assessment program, and offering expert fire safety guidance throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate effectively with management and staff across various departments.
  • Provide clear direction to external consultants and contractors.
  • Ensure adherence to fire safety policies and procedures in residential properties, maintaining compliance with statutory obligations.
Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and demonstrate experience in implementing its requirements within a public-facing organization.

We seek individuals with relevant sector experience, including but not limited to roles in Fire Risk Assessment, Fire Brigade, local authorities, social housing, building compliance, or other related fields.

Skills Required
  • A proven track record in delivering fire safety solutions within a diverse residential property portfolio.
  • Experience with various property types, including high-rise buildings, new constructions, purpose-built blocks, and street conversions.
  • Ability to produce high-quality Fire Risk Assessments and a solid understanding of the risk assessment process.
  • Familiarity with pertinent fire safety guidelines related to residential accommodations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building construction and the Building Regulations, particularly concerning fire safety (Part B).
Team Leadership

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the competency framework, conducting quality assurance checks on the Fire Safety Officers' risk assessments, and providing constructive feedback and action plans to enhance team standards and development.

Technical Proficiencies
  • Proficient in IT applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Possession of a Level 3/4 Certificate/Diploma in Fire Risk Assessment and Fire Safety Management or equivalent qualifications.
  • Ability to prepare detailed reports for monitoring progress, documenting specific incidents, and maintaining a high standard of professionalism in all deliverables.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of building and fire regulations.
