We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Leader to join our team at Mercure Hotel Bloomsbury. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the front desk, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Front Desk Operations: Manage the front desk team, handle guest inquiries, and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Training and Development: Provide guidance and support to reception staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills to excel in their roles.
- Reservations and Cashiering: Process reservations, handle cash transactions, and maintain accurate records.
- Shift Reports and Communication: Prepare and submit shift reports, maintain open communication with the Rooms Division Manager, and ensure effective collaboration with the team.
- Complaint Handling and Guest Satisfaction: Address guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Accor Brand Standards and GSS: Maintain a good working knowledge of Hotel Operating system Opera and adhere to Accor Brand Standards and GSS guidelines.
- Support to Rooms Division Manager: Assist the Rooms Division Manager in running the front desk, providing support as needed.
- Operational Knowledge: Possess a good working knowledge of Hotel Operating system Opera and a minimum of 12 months experience as a Hotel Receptionist.
- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Pay: £13.50 per hour
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week
- Schedule: 8 hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with weekend availability
- Commission Pay: Eligible for commission pay
- Ability to Commute: Reliable commute or plan to relocate before starting work
