Job Summary

Anord Mardix, a leading electrical engineering and manufacturing firm, is seeking an experienced Head of Projects to join our team in Castle Mills, Kendal. As a key member of our Operations department, you will provide dynamic leadership and mentoring to our Project Management team, ensuring all projects are delivered to the highest quality, within budget, and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational, financial, and managerial leadership for successful project implementation
  • Contribute to the development of our corporate strategy and lead business strategy within the Project Management team
  • Develop and maintain project management capability within the department
  • Conduct regular reviews to ensure accountability of project activities and accurate reporting of financial deliverables
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet budgetary and time constraints while upholding quality and meeting business objectives
  • Assist the team and business with issues in accordance with company policy
  • Develop new innovative processes and procedures, improving existing systems
  • Involvement with project contractual obligations, disputes, and final accounts
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients through clear professional communications and assured expectation management
  • Attend and participate in weekly planning and project handover meetings
  • Communicate business KPIs and associated metrics with the team to ensure performance is upheld

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role, with a professional background in electrical or construction projects
  • Current Head of Projects or minimum 5 years in Senior PM role
  • Strong people management skills
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and conscientious with a high standard of attention to detail
  • Ability to work accurately to deadlines in a busy and pressurized environment
  • Demonstrate flexibility and understanding of basic electrical principles
  • Eligible to work in the UK
