Pertemps Edinburgh Careers is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 driver to join our team in Edinburgh. As a refuse driver, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and greenery of our beautiful city.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate an HGV C2 bin lorry on designated routes within Edinburgh, ensuring safe and efficient waste collection.
  • Collect and transport waste and recyclables to disposal and recycling facilities, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct routine checks and maintenance of the vehicle to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with the public, promoting a positive image of our company.
Requirements:
  • Valid HGV C2 (Class 2) license.
  • CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
  • Digital Tachograph card.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety protocols.
  • Excellent driving skills and a clean driving record.

Location: Edinburgh East
Hours of work: Tuesday - Friday or 4 days on 4 days off
Rate of Pay: £14.45 - £15.63 depending on shift pattern
Temporary ongoing work with no end date
