The Breast Care Unit is seeking a dedicated, dependable, and motivated individual to become a part of our team as a Band 2 Patient Care Assistant on a permanent basis.
In this role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to support registered nurses and senior clinical personnel in the planning, delivery, and assessment of patient care.
Our team is committed to delivering exceptional, personalized care to our clients while ensuring their privacy and dignity are upheld at all times. Training will include:
- Implementing nursing care plans in outpatient clinics, wound care clinics, on wards, and assisting in surgical settings.
- Supporting Breast Care Nurse Practitioners in the effective management of the breast care service.
- Ensuring the smooth operation of outpatient clinics and taking responsibility for training Healthcare Assistants.
Key Responsibilities

- Participating in quality improvement activities such as training on valuing patient experiences or clinical audits.

Job Responsibilities
- Adhering to established policies and procedures to maintain high standards of patient care.
- Completing necessary documentation and outcomes during clinics and ensuring the return of notes and x-rays.
- Facilitating the effective operation of outpatient clinics in collaboration with Consultants and Breast Care Nurse Practitioners.
- Being attentive to patients' physical, social, and psychological needs and reporting to a registered nurse as necessary.
- Chaperoning and assisting medical staff with required procedures in clinics.
- Ensuring the confidentiality of all patient information at all times.
