Key Responsibilities:- Lead the Bidding Process: Manage the entire bidding process, from initial tender to final contract award.
- Identify New Business Opportunities: Research and identify potential new business opportunities, and develop strategies to secure them.
- Develop Winning Bid Strategies: Work with our operations team to develop winning bid strategies, and lead tender launches.
- Manage Subcontractor Enquiries: Manage subcontractor enquiries to ensure optimal results.
- Formulate Build Strategies: Work with our operations team to formulate build strategies that meet our commercial principles.
- Produce High-Quality Bids: Produce high-quality bids that meet our commercial principles and stand out from the competition.
- Client Engagement: Promote and sell bids, and attend client meetings to build relationships and secure new business.
- Team Leadership: Manage estimators and prepare accurate cost sheets to ensure successful project delivery.
- Compliance: Ensure all secured orders meet our commercial principles and comply with relevant regulations.
- Market Intelligence: Attend industry meetings to gather market intelligence and stay up-to-date with industry trends.
- Construction Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and building products.
- IT Skills: Strong IT skills, especially in Excel and Word.
- Proven Track Record: Proven ability to produce compelling tenders and bids, and a successful track record in technical sales and securing work.
- Specialist Sub-Contractor Experience: Experience working with specialist sub-contractors.
- Full Driving Licence: A full driving licence is required for this role.
- Degree in Construction/Engineering: A degree in construction or engineering (BSc or equivalent) is desirable.
- CSCS Card: An appropriate CSCS card is desirable.
- Software Systems Experience: Experience with software systems such as Tekla, AutoCad, Revit, Blue Beam, and Sharepoint is desirable.
