Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Transport Operator (Nights) to join our team at Hatfield. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitoring and Scheduling: You will be responsible for monitoring planned schedules for our Hatfield Transport team and escalating any issues to ensure we operate within agreed service levels.
  • Trailer Allocation: You will use our Transport Systems to help with trailer allocation, ensuring that our vehicles are properly equipped for delivery.
  • Working Time Directive: You will monitor the working time directive 48hr average and support us in reviewing and reporting on driving infringements.
  • Vehicle Management: You will check on the arrival and departures of our vehicles to ensure we are setting out on time and meeting our SLA's - customer satisfaction is key.
  • Administrative Tasks: You will perform administrative tasks such as keeping our drivers' records up to date, including their driving license expiry dates and training records.
Requirements
  • Experience: You will already have gained experience in an Operator or Admin role and ideally have worked in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Skills: You will be organised, have excellent attention to detail, and be able to manage your workload. You will also be confident in working with various IT Systems, especially working with data in Excel.
  • Communication: You will be a confident communicator and happy working alongside our drivers and Managers alike.
  • Regulations: Up to date knowledge of driver's hours and working time regulations would be fantastic, but not essential as we will give you all the training you need to understand these areas.
