Senior/Principal Mechanical Design Engineer Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior/Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join our R&D team in the North East. Our client is investing heavily in R&D/Product Development and has exciting projects and plans for the coming years.

As a Senior/Principal Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex electro-mechanical products. You will work on design projects from concept to manufacture, utilizing your knowledge of designing moving parts and mechanisms. Your experience in innovation and creativity in product design will be valuable in this role, as you will be working on design projects for products that the company has never designed before.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Extensive experience in mechanical design, with a strong understanding of designing moving parts and mechanisms.
  • Proven track record of taking design projects from concept to manufacture.
  • Ability to think creatively and innovate in product design.
  • Proficiency in modern 3D CAD packages.

This role offers a competitive salary band of £50k to £70k basic range, plus an excellent benefits package.
