Job Title: Regional Relief Chef About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Relief Chef to join our team at Holroyd Howe, a leading contract caterer providing fresh and innovative food services to independent schools and colleges. As a Relief Chef, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and presentation of all dishes meet our high standards and client expectations. Key Responsibilities: * Cover long-term sickness, general absences, holidays, and recruitment gaps in our kitchens * Collaborate with our senior culinary team to craft flavourful dishes that nourish both body and mind * Assist in menu planning and development, taking into consideration dietary restrictions, nutritional guidelines, and seasonal ingredients * Quickly adapt to different kitchen environments and team dynamics * Fill in for permanent chefs as needed, maintaining consistency and quality * Be available to work in various locations within our designated geographical area * Collaborate with the catering team to execute special events, themed dinners, and other culinary initiatives Requirements: * Previous experience working in a similar role within a contract catering company or educational institution preferred * Culinary degree or relevant certifications from a recognized culinary institute * Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices * Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume kitchen environment * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required About Us: At Holroyd Howe, we pride ourselves on our commitment to sustainability, nutrition, and food innovation.
