Job Title: Mobile Plant Operator

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Operator to join our team at Biffa Green Energy in Hull. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for operating mobile plant and supporting plant processing operations within a modern technology processing facility that turns waste into a sustainable fuel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate mobile plant and equipment to ensure efficient and safe processing of waste.
  • Perform daily maintenance and record keeping for mobile plant and plant equipment.
  • Carry out housekeeping activities in all areas of the site.
  • Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of fixed process plant under the direction of Foreman and Site Manager.
  • Participate in daily operations on site as directed by site management.
  • Conduct regular inspections of site infrastructure.
  • Control vehicle and pedestrian traffic in all internal areas.
  • Liaise with BWS and external hauliers to ensure timely dispatch of materials from site.
  • Liaise with Foreman to ensure timely supply of process consumables to minimize process downtime and maximize throughput.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, company procedure, and toolbox talks.
Requirements:
  • Experience operating mobile plant and equipment.
  • Knowledge of plant operations and maintenance.
  • Understanding of health and safety issues and procedures.
  • Good customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
