  • Emergency Response: Address urgent repair needs promptly, maintaining thorough records of actions taken.
  • Team Collaboration: Support colleagues as needed and follow directives from the Facilities Manager.
  • Timely Execution: Complete all assignments within agreed timeframes.
  • Energy Efficiency: Actively seek ways to minimize energy usage on-site.
  • Subcontractor Oversight: Monitor the work of external contractors to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Policy Adherence: Perform all tasks in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete all work-related paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess ongoing tasks and communicate any issues to the Facilities Manager.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Strive to deliver exceptional service through quick response times and effective resolutions.
  • Maintenance Programs: Develop and manage routine maintenance schedules.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure the safe storage of tools, materials, and spare parts.
  • Technical Support: Provide assistance to team members when required.
  • Quality Control: Conduct daily inspections of technician and subcontractor work.
  • BMS Management: Oversee the Building Management System operations.
  • Change Management: Assist in pricing and executing change notice projects.
  • Emergency Access: Facilitate emergency access to facilities and provide out-of-hours support for urgent maintenance issues.
  • Contract Compliance: Manage services in accordance with contract specifications, employing best practices.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records as per legislative and company requirements.
  • Budget Management: Lead business planning efforts, ensuring effective management of FM budgets.
  • Additional Duties: Undertake other responsibilities as assigned by BAM Construct & Ventures UK Ltd.
  • Safety Practices: Conduct all work safely and diligently.
  • Statutory Compliance: Ensure detailed records are maintained for all statutory testing and inspections.

Candidate Profile:
  • Possession of an Electrical Qualification (BS 7671:2018).
  • Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, including troubleshooting various systems.
  • Understanding of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair faults effectively.
  • Proficient in completing essential paperwork accurately.
  • Good IT proficiency.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Experience in specific trade disciplines.
  • Management or supervisory experience in a maintenance context.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Experience in an educational setting is advantageous.
  • Valid UK driver's license.
  • Compliance with the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 (PVG) is required.

Desirable Qualifications:
  • PASMA Certification.
  • MEWP Certification.
  • Legionella Training.
  • PASOQ Technician Certification.
  • First Aid Training.
