Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to our patients.
Main Responsibilities
- Work closely with clinical teams to complete medicines reconciliation and ensure appropriate medicines management.
- Assist with the day-to-day operational organization of the dispensaries, including the safe, efficient, and timely dispensing of prescriptions.
- Provide excellent customer care skills to liaise effectively with patients and multidisciplinary team members.

Our hospitals include St George's Hospital, one of 11 major trauma centers in the UK, and St Helier Hospital, home to the South West Thames Renal and Transplantation Unit.
Requirements
- BTEC/NVQ Level 3 Certified Pharmacy Technician registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) Certificate.
- Post-qualification hospital experience, including supervision of staff and patient counseling.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Experience with the CMM (formerly JAC) pharmacy computer system.
- Understanding of and participation in data collection for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and audit.
- Dispensing/supply of clinical trials.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to organize own workload and that of others.
- Computer literacy for dispensing and stock keeping/issue purposes.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize work.
