Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Physics Teacher to join our team at Protocol Education Ltd. As a Physics Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality physics education to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles. Ensure lessons are aligned with the curriculum and educational standards.
  • Student Assessment and Progress: Design and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
  • Personalized Support: Identify students who need extra help and provide one-on-one or small group support. Tailor teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
  • Teaching Materials and Resources: Create and organize resources such as worksheets, presentations, and interactive activities to enhance learning.
  • Classroom Management: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect, participation, and a love for learning. Implement effective classroom management strategies.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work with other teachers and staff to improve the physics curriculum and share best practices. Participate in department meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Parent and Guardian Communication: Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and any concerns. Attend parent-teacher conferences as needed.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Support and participate in extracurricular activities, such as science clubs, competitions, and school events, to further students' interest and engagement in physics.

Requirements:

  • A degree in physics or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) are required.
  • Previous teaching experience is preferred, with a proven track record of effective teaching and student progress.
  • A genuine passion for physics and a commitment to inspiring and supporting students.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs and learning styles.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with educational best practices.

Additional Requirements:

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Has or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
