Job Summary

As a Senior Java Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in various stages of the consulting process. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying challenges, proposing solutions, and refining them to meet client needs. You will also be instrumental in the development, configuration, and deployment of comprehensive solutions. Your guidance will be essential for project teams regarding processes, deliverables, and you will contribute to proposal development, client training, and internal capability enhancement, helping to define project scopes effectively. This role offers the chance to create impactful consulting solutions that assist our clients in adapting to the evolving global landscape.

Note: In-office presence may be required periodically.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in hands-on software development, ensuring high-quality code and comprehensive unit testing.
  • Focus on interpreting business requirements and actively participate in application development and support.
  • Continuously refactor code, debug, and resolve issues to maintain technical excellence of applications.
  • Develop robust code that is easily testable and compatible across various standard browsers and web platforms.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in developing enterprise-level server-side applications using Java as the primary programming language.
  • Proficient programming skills in Java, data structures, algorithms, web services, REST APIs, JSON, XML, etc.
  • Experience with frameworks such as Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and messaging systems like Kafka and Solace.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools, unit testing, and operational support for applications as needed.
  • Knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS) and databases like Oracle and DB2, as well as NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, and Couchbase.
  • Experience with various mocking frameworks, test-driven development, and performance testing tools such as JMeter and Postman.
  • Must possess valid work authorization for the UK.
