Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Support Specialist to join our team at Abbotswood Court, a beautiful 60-bedded residential care home located in Romsey, near Southampton.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and assist the Maintenance Manager in maintaining all areas within the home on a daily basis.
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including repairs and replacements, to ensure the home remains safe and comfortable for residents.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure that maintenance activities do not disrupt resident care or daily routines.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of maintenance policies and procedures.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role, preferably in a care home setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and external contractors.
- A strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality maintenance services that meet the needs of our residents.
