Commercial Accountant Opportunity

Optimum Recruitment Group Limited is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Accountant to join their team. As a key member of the finance department, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing financial strategies that drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate costing models and standard costings across the organization.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to develop pricing strategies and ensure accurate charge rates are applied.
  • Support the development of financial reporting systems to enable automated standardized reporting on job/customer profitability.
  • Work closely with the Head of FP&A and Group FC to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in standard costing, cost modeling, and financial modeling.
  • Strong commercial pricing experience and ability to develop pricing strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with Sun Systems, Proactis, and NAV.
