Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Location: Swale

Job Type: Full-time and Part-time Opportunities

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Supply Desk. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality education to students in our partnered Ofsted-rated 'Good' primary schools in Swale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting small groups of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and ensuring lessons are inclusive and meet individual needs.
  • Delivering pre-planned lessons during teachers' Professional Preparation and Planning (PPA) sessions.
  • Using effective behavior management strategies with a focus on positive reinforcement.
  • Working closely with school staff to maintain good behavior and monitor pupils' progress.
  • Planning and delivering interventions for students receiving additional SEN support.
  • Building strong relationships with parents to ensure ongoing development and keep them informed of their child's progress.
  • Providing one-to-one support for children with SEN.

Requirements:

  • Holding Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualifications (experienced teaching assistants are encouraged to apply).
  • Being adaptable and ready to take on a variety of classroom roles, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Having experience working with children who have special educational needs.
  • Holding a valid, in-date Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and having two references.
