This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and contribute to the company's success by performing hands-on maintenance, repair, and improvement of their machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the procurement of spare parts and materials.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnose the issue, and perform repairs or coordinate with external specialists when necessary.
- Perform machine adjustments and changeovers to meet production demands.
- Monitor and calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including maintenance schedules, repairs, and spare parts inventory.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ level 3 or equivalent, in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including conveyors, motors, and sorting and packaging equipment.
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery, with a focus on conveyors, motors, and sorting and packaging equipment.
- Desirable skills include experience in robotics and understanding of PLC systems.
- Proactive approach to maintenance and a commitment to ensuring the highest levels of equipment reliability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong work ethic and a can-do attitude.
