Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Health and Safety Policies
Work closely with our SHE Manager and operational teams to develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures that meet or exceed industry standards.
Conduct Risk Assessments and AuditsConduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Provide Training and SupportDevelop and deliver training programs to ensure that all employees understand their health and safety responsibilities and are equipped to work safely.
Manage Third-Party ProvidersWork with our logistics and transport managers to ensure that third-party providers meet our health and safety standards.
Investigate Incidents and AccidentsConduct thorough investigations into incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Requirements- Proven Experience
At least 3 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in the logistics and transport industry.
Qualifications and CertificationsNEBOSH certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent, and an internal auditing qualification such as ISO45001.
Knowledge and SkillsExcellent knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and its practical application, including CDM, WAH, Asbestos, and Gas regulations.
Communication and Interpersonal SkillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
