About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Housing Revenue Accountant to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a specialist in revenue accounting, you will play a key role in supporting our clients in the housing sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with non-finance stakeholders to drive business growth and improve financial performance.
  • Prepare and monitor monthly budget reports to ensure accurate financial forecasting.
  • Provide expert financial advice and produce high-quality financial and management reports.
  • Manage grant claims and statistical returns to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and provide financial guidance as needed.
  • Authorise reports for financial implications and take ownership of revenue accounting aspects.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Prior experience in Housing Revenue, preferably in a local government or housing provider organisation.
  • Full CCAB qualification or equivalent experience in housing revenue.
  • Excellent business partnering skills and ability to build strong relationships with non-finance staff and leadership teams.
