Pipefitter and Rehabilitation Welder

Chart Industries is seeking skilled pipefitters and rehabilitation welders to enhance our dedicated team.

The role of a Rehabilitation Welder is vital in the production of Chart's exceptional products. Our company is committed to delivering high-quality manufactured goods utilizing advanced techniques such as radiography, vacuum mass spectrometry, and phased array ultrasonic testing. We adhere to stringent industry standards including ASME, DOT, AAR, and EN pressure vessel codes.

∙ Operating cranes, forklifts, and aerial lifts

∙ Executing welding tasks on vessels following established manufacturing protocols with minimal guidance

∙ Conducting comprehensive welding and finishing operations for unit repairs

∙ Diligently maintaining necessary documentation (production traveler, material traceability, and production records)

∙ Ensuring cleanliness and organization of your designated work area

∙ Monitoring equipment performance and reporting maintenance requirements

∙ Assisting fellow welders in developing their welding competencies

∙ Adhering to all safety regulations and protocols

∙ Completing company-sponsored training to proficiently fulfill job responsibilities

∙ Undertaking additional tasks as assigned

• High School diploma or GED
• Completion of a Welder Training Program

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, handle tools, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; occasionally required to climb or maintain balance.
• Must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds regularly, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color discrimination, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and potential electrical hazards. Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, and vibrations.
• Medium to loud noise levels in the work environment.
